Home Schooling
What is homeschooling?
Welcome to the American School of Wroclaw, a dynamic and innovative home-schooling program designed to meet the unique needs of students in Poland. Homeschooling in Poland is legal, but it is regulated by the government. This is a form of education approved by the Ministry of National Education, consisting in educating a child outside the full-time education system (Act of 14 December 2016 - Education Law (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 910, as amended)) .Parents who choose to homeschool their children must follow certain rules, such as registering their homeschool with the local education authorities, providing a curriculum that is equivalent to the state-provided education, and regularly assessing their children's progress. Homeschooled children in Poland are also required to take standardized tests to demonstrate their educational progress.
Benefits of Homeschooling:
-
Flexibility in scheduling and curriculum.
-
Tailored education to fit individual needs and interests.
-
More control for parents over the educational environment.
-
Potential for better academic results.
